Chocolate in the truffle shape!

Did you know?

Truffe au chocolat or chocolate truffle is a sweet dainty that was named after its irregular shape reminding of truffles. Chocolate truffle was invented by Louis Dufour in 1895. As he had only few ingredients for end-of-the-year sweets, he got the idea to blend cream, vanilla and cocoa, and made balls of the cold mixture. Later on, he dipped them into melted chocolate and then into cocoa powder. The rest is history … chocolate truffles have conquered our world!
